A Celebration Of All Things Forty Hall Estate
The Enfield community will come together on Sunday (7 June) at Forty Hall Estate to celebrate the newly restored historic parkland, a project funded by Enfield Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Forty Hall Big Sunday, an event delivered by Forty Hall Farm, Friends of Forty Hall Park and Enfield Council Cultural Services, will offer a jam-packed programme of activities showcasing everything on offer across the whole estate. Including; live music at Forty Hall Farm, Craft Market in the Hall and sports in the grounds to name but a few of the things on offer.
Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Organisations and Culture, Cllr Yasemin Brett, said: “This is a brilliant event in a great setting that offer something fantastic for the whole family so get yourself down to Forty Hall and join in the fun.
“Forty Hall is a great asset for the council and this is just one example of the fabulous types of events that are hosted there.”
Kate McGeevor, Forty Hall Farm Manager said: "This is the fourth Big Lunch we have held on the Forty Hall Estate and, as always, we're really looking forward to it.
"For us on the Farm, it's particularly exciting because this year the Big Lunch also falls on Open Farm Sunday, when we open our farm gates and welcome visitors to see Forty Hall Farm in action. We're encouraging people to join us for a day of picnicking, music and merriment!'
Jo Ann Brown, Friends of Forty Hall Park said: “The Friends of Forty Hall Park are delighted to be part of this event, which celebrates the park that so many people love.
"We encourage visitors to come along to take part in the activities, to explore everything on offer in the estate and to admire the park and planting “.
The event is delivered as part of The Big Lunch; the one-day get-together for neighbours so visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds; in a simple act of community, friendship and fun! The Forty Hall Big Sunday is also delivered as part of Open Farm Sunday, a national initiative to open up farms across the UK and celebrates the recent public opening of Forty Hall Farm and the Farm Shop.
A park and ride scheme will be offered at this event.
The event takes place on Sunday 7 June, 12noon – 7pm at Forty Hall Estate, Forty Hill, Enfield, EN2 9HA
Forty Hall Farm is also open Saturdays and Sundays 11am - 4pm (effective from 21st March).
Forty Hall Estate is owned and managed by Enfield Council
Travel to this event by public transport or bicycle is encouraged.
By train: From North - Turkey Street and 20 minute walk. From Central London - Enfield Town, Enfield Chase or Southbury and 191 bus to Forty Hill.
By tube: Oakwood (Piccadilly Line) then buses 307 or 121 to Enfield Town Windmill Hill, then 191 to Forty Hill By bus: 191 or W10 to roundabout at Myddelton Avenue and then 10 minute walk up Forty Hill.
Please note that for those traveling by car a Park & Ride scheme will be in operation.

• 2x Mini buses available between 11.45 – 6pm
• Parking for cars available in Bulls Cross Field on the junction of Bullsmoor Lane and Bulls Cross EN2 (opposite Capel Manor College & Pied Bull Pub)
• £2.00 per car
• Mini buses will drop off on Forty Hill outside entrance to Forty Hall Estate.
• Alternatively it is a 10 minute walk from Bulls Cross Field to Forty Hall Estate
